PROJECT BASED LEARNING
In Project Based Learning (PBL), students go through an extended process of inquiry in response to a complex question, problem, or challenge. Rigorous projects help students learn key academic content and practice 21st Century Skills (such as collaboration, communication & critical thinking). Project-based learning is an approach to classroom activities that emphasize learning activities that are long-term, interdisciplinary and student-centered. The core idea of project-based learning is that real-world problems capture students' interest and provoke serious thinking. The students acquire and apply new knowledge in problem-solving contexts.
PrintED® is national accreditation program set by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF®). The program is based on industry standards, for graphic communications courses of study at the secondary and post-secondary levels. It was created in response to the need for skilled entry-level workers in the printing industry.
